Exhibiting at Djazagro, Sipa is highlighting the capabilities of XTRA BIG rotary stretch blow moulding machines, designed to produce large symmetrical bottles with a capacity of up to 12 litres.

‘The XTRA BIG units rely on SIPA's award-winning process expertise in SFL BIG linear systems, including the simple handling of preforms and the specially-sized stretch system and blow block’ stresses Sipa, who also points out that the XTRA BIG machines retain many of the design features of their ‘classic’ counterparts, including the machine layout, preform handling and active grippers. What distinguishes them, however, is a blow-moulding section specially designed to accommodate large bottles, enabling efficient, high-quality production.

XTRA BIG can also be seamlessly integrated with SIPA's BigFill volumetric gravity filling monobloc, creating a new version of the SincroBloc system. This integration offers advantages such as reduced handling and cleaning requirements, and elimination of the need to rinse and transport empty bottles.

The whole package offers high production capabilities: ‘a SincroBloc for formats from 5 to 12 litres offers an impressive hourly production capacity of up to 10,000 bottles for 5-litre bottles and up to 6,000 containers for the largest formats’ notes Sipa, which also points out that the XTRA BIG machines are ideal to produce the large bottles generally used to package water or edible oil, and meet the needs of bottling companies looking for efficient, high-output solutions for large-format containers.
