Waste management and energy self-sufficiency: Ecopack measures its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) progress in 2024

After announcing its objectives in terms of waste reduction and energy production last April, Ecopack is reviewing progress at the end of the year. And the least we can say is that the results are quite encouraging:

Waste reduction: Ecopack has surpassed its stated objective (-15%) by achieving a 20% reduction in waste,

Energy production: in mid-December, Ecopack was close to its goal of 28% energy self-sufficiency, thanks to the installation of a new ground-based photovoltaic plant.

These results reflect a tangible commitment to sustainability: Ecopack is committed to pursuing increasingly sustainable practices, contributing to a better future for all,’ comments the company, which also reaffirmed its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out by the United Nations as part of the 2030 Agenda.

In particular, Ecopack reports significant progress on some of these goals: objective 3 (Good health and well-being), objective 5 (Gender equality), objective 8 (Decent work and economic growth) and objective 10 (Reduction of inequalities).

This is an essential project that affects not only the company's internal organisation, but also its production: ‘42% of products sold in 2023 will be certified as compostable or recyclable’, says Ecopack.
